Mother of Mothers is inspired by Hicham Berrada’s Mesk Ellil, in which he reverses night and day for the plants. Instead of reversing the cycles, the lights are kept on constantly. The plant species inside are Mother of Thousands. As the light continuously bears down on the plants, the chlorophyll will photo-oxidize to xanothophyll, changing the plant from green to pink. This occurs because the chromoplasts become more visible than the chloroplasts.
