Debride(r) refers to a medical process of removing diseased tissue from the body. Historically, a method using maggots was often employed. Using textiles, I’ve created abstract reinterpretations of the body, sewing folds and stuffing nylons, tying and wrapping elements. The work takes on an almost maternal comfort paired with perturbation.
